Shasta Renovation Day 1

So we got home real late last night with the camper and got an early start at getting it ready for the maiden voyage next weekend (jellystone park ny)

We removed the propane heater that the last owner (hunters) had put in. They had removed one of the bench seats to do it so now we have to find another one in a Shasta that is being parted out or make one from scratch.

We removed the oh so fun and funky orange shag carpet and found what we believe is the original linoleum flooring...it is in bad shape so we decided to go over it with a laminate flooring in Antique Oak...so far I am loving it...it really warms it up...

Oh and we cleaned it.....a lot!

I got my Shasta!!!!

I'm picking it up tonight...will take some interior pictures this weekend and post them for all my farmgirl friends...gonna get her a personalized license plate that says yogifarmgirl...

My weekend plans

So my farmgirl friends are I are heading out for our travel trailer extravaganza. This is a virtual campout so anyone can join in. I am really going to look at a 1962 Shasta this weekend so I am hoping my campout won't be virtual for too long

I finally got this blog thing down

So I finally made it back to a simple life...Funny how life is full circle. I love this farmhouse, this river town and a slower way of living. Tomorrow I'll get some good shots of the chickens and roosters...
